For the past three months, we have been producing, editing and publishing a Weston Woods on Rice Creek newsletter. We have tried to post it around the middle of each month. (Past newsletters are archived elsewhere on this website).

Now, it is time to hear from you, our dear readers or potential readers. Let us know what you think:

-     Is a monthly newsletter too frequent? Should it be quarterly or what interval would you suggest?

-     What would you like to see in a newsletter? Reminders, articles of interest, photographs, recipes, helpful hints, gossip or information about our residents, etc.? Let us know what you’d most like to see in a newsletter.

-     Do you have information or other items of interest you’d like to share with your WWonRC community members? Or, have you seen something elsewhere which you think should be included in our newsletter?

-     Travel information or trips; many of our residents are frequent travelers. Would you be willing to write a short article about your travel adventures or misadventures, perhaps with photos, to encourage or inform others about your trip? Did you go scuba diving in the ocean, did you get stuck in Dubai on a COVID quarantine, did you spend a month in NYC, did you catch a fish with a grandchild and have a cute photo of the experience? We’d love to share your experiences through the newsletter.

-     We need your help. Do you have other suggestions for inclusion in the newsletter? Please feel free to share.

Please respond to this post by replying here on the website or send suggestions, information, photos, recipes, bithday or other wishes to residents, travel articles, etc., to us at: andy4tx@gmail.com

Thank you.

The last newsletter was great!  It really had a nice look to it and had good information.

The newsletter should be at least quarterly but if you have enough "stuff" for a monthly one and there is someone who is willing to do it that frequently then do a monthly one.

The one thing that should never be in a newsletter is gossip!  Nor should it be a long travelog.  But almost everything else you mentioned would be great.

An essential part should be information we should all be aware of or something we should be reminded about.  Sometimes hearing from one of the committees is good too like this last newsletter.

Our homes are mostly the same.  I for one would like to have some tips about issues we have had - like how to get the dead bugs out of the bottom of the sliding window on the storm doors.  We even have a small dead frog in ours and other than dismantling the door I don't know how to get him out.  And how does everyone ever dust the "plant ledges"?  I feel like we are always trying to reinvent the wheel when I know someone out there has a good solution.

I would like to hear about interesting things our neighbors have done or hobbies they have.  We should celebrate with anyone having a significant birthday or maybe give the names of everyone having birthdays that month.  Include anything that would make us feel like more of a community.

Thanks!
