MOON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL ...By Cindy Potts

Senior Shannna Irish has recently received the Project Teach Scholarship. This is for Arizona State University and it pays her tuition, $100 for books and $500 spending money per semester.

In order to receive this, Irish had to write three different essays.

They were "Why Would You Want to be an Educator?" "What Teacher Inspired You Most?" and "Knowledge and Experience I Already Have." These along with two letters of recommendation, an application, a successful interview and true desire to teach children.

Good luck Shanna, we'll look forward to seeing you at the head of a classroom in the near future.

Moon Valley is proud to present the top 1 - 3% grads of its Class of 2003. Graduation will be May 28th at the Sundome in Sun City West.

And for District Poetry Contest Winners-2003 in Foreign Language: 10th Grade Second Place winner is Mark Lee.
