Hi Neighbors!
As many of you know, we are working on another grant for our neighborhood. At our last meeting, June 21st, we voted to purchase a third sign for Ridgewood Park in the middle of Glenwood on Columbus. The additional sign for $250 is the first item we are requesting with the grant. (A separate request is being made that the old ''Ridgewood River'' signs be corrected and moved)
Some ideas discussed at the meeting are not eligible with this grant but below are some ideas that are eligible (to the best of my understanding):
1. ''Clean Up the Alleys'' one Saturday morning in April? Would you vouch to spend an hour?
2. Landscaping at the entrance of Glenwood Dr. from Columbus Ave. Mr. Tom Warmock (of Riverside Dr.) is a horticulturist and has volunteered to design a drought resistant plan to be presented and voted on at the October meeting. We will request plants with the grant, would you vouch to spend an hour planting?
3. We have a great new logo, unanimously chosen at our last meeting. If we had t-shirts made with the new logo and priced between $10 and $20 would you be interested in purchasing one?
Lighting, sidewalks and anything eligible under the County Capital Improvement program, are ineligible for this grant.
If you have any objections to the suggestions above, please let me know. If you are able to volunteer an hour or two, please respond a.s.a.p.
Thanks!
