PCIP Neighborhood Grant Information

Grant Explained

The Pensacola Community Initiatives Partnership (PCIP) Grant is a matching grant of up to $10,000 available to neighborhood associations registered with the City of Pensacola. Funds can be used for various neighborhood initiatives, including beautification projects, signage, sidewalks or other improvements to public property. Funds can be matched by cash, in-kind contributions, volunteer labor or a combination of the three. Funds are allocated twice a year, usually in February and in August. Grant money is provided on a 2:1 basis (city provides twice as much as the neighborhood).

We are wanting to vote at the March meeting for the first year grant we want to request. We have had interest voiced in signage, landscaping, and street lamps on Langley.

Grant Approval/Volunteer Hours

Neighborhood Grant Application - Now that our Grant was approved Volunteer hours need to be started. We must submit monthly hours to the City of Pensacola Neighborhood and Economic Development office. We are required to provide 415 documented volunteer labor hours towards construction and completion of our project (neighborhood sign). The type of volunteer hours that need to be completed are Ground Prep, Plants installed, Watering, Weeding, Median rehab, and Litter pick-up. Some of the Volunteer hours we will be coordinating as a group effort, but remember if you are out and about in the neighborhood and you do any of the following listed above to fill out a Volunteer Hour form and submit to Joe Flynn, Treasurer.
