Bay Crest Park Civic Assn.

A proposal was floated at the last Tax District meeting to reclaim the boat ramp from the Parks Department and make it a Bay Crest-only facility. Residents who want to use the ramp would need to pay a yearly fee for a decal. The monies collected would be used for liability insurance, ramp improvements, etc. No figure was given as to annual cost.

Your opinion, please. Is this something you would be in favor of?

Jack when and how was the decision made to privatize the boat ramp and assume the liability and expense for operating and maintaining the boat ramp and sea walls?
