I was out walking with my children the other day and notice several cars speeding down the roads.  Has there been any thought about putting in speed bumps throughout the Subdivision?

I would like to feel safe when I am walking with my children around the area.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't want to be the resident that lives towards the back of the subdivision, having to go through all those speed bumps to get home.Surprised

Have you tired signaling the driver to slow down?

If they are truly reckless you can always call Greer PD and report the tag number.

But remember that it is a road and not a sidewalk so you should exercise a little caution when walking around some of the turns.

The legal speed limit in here is 25mph and that could seem much higher when confronted around one of the corners with a car.

Don't get me wrong, I have seen plenty of speeders coming around the corner by my house.

During the school year I'm often amazed at how many drivers speed through the school zone.

I know that putting in speed bumps would be a inconvence, but there are no sidewalks so I have no chocie but to walk in the streets.  If this is a faimly comunnite then it seems like that should be the main focus.
