Darin Fontenette, a businessman who lives in the Gardere neighborhood,
has been coaching kids in that neighborhood for about 8 years. He and
some friends started the Gardere Youth Alliance. It is an umbrella
organization that provides Gardere children the opportunity to play in
leagues on football, basketball, and baseball teams. But as Darin
says, it is not just about the sports. It is about building
relationships with the kids and sharing God's Word with them.
