Our program has been around since 1964. We were founded on 5 basic principles.
EVERYONE PLAYS: This means that each and every child on the team will play 3/4 of every game before 1 child plays the whole game.
OPEN REGISTRATION: Registration is open to all children who want to play soccer.
BALANCED TEAMS: We balance our teams as evenly as possible at the start of every season.
POSITIVE COACHING: We train our coaches to make positive rather than negative remarks to players.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP: Our program is designed to install teamwork and respect. Rather than a win at all cost attitude.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT: We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game
This program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams may inclued those who are:
* Blind or visually impaired
* Amputees or conditions that impair mobiity
* Mentally or emotionally challenged
* Autistic
* Downs Syndrome
* Cerebal Palsy
These kids are Very Important Players (VIP) in AYSO. We recognize that all children need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance.
