AT&T has a fleet of wireless loaner phones available free for short term use (typically three to ten days) by bona fide non-profit Arizona 501(c)(3) organizations or neighborhood associations who can clearly show non-profit status. The phones are loaned to support organizations' special events aimed at fund raising or raising community awareness of the organization.
The use of this community loaner fleet is for short term use (suggested to be between one and 14 days) and includes the free use of the wireless equipment and local airtime. Calls to information, long distance if applicable, or other charges are the responsibility of the organization receiving the loan. The number of phones to be loaned will be determined by AT&T and will be based on the availability of phones and the organization's particular needs.
The organization is responsible for returning the equipment in good working order and is responsible for loss, theft, or damage to said equipment. If the equipment is lost, stolen, or significantly damaged, the organization is responsible for the cost of replacing the equipment.
In the event of a major public emergency/disaster, the recipient organization must agree in advance to return the phone(s) prior to the previously agreed return date and within 4 hours of request. Additionally, future loans may not be available as promised in the event of such an emergency.
The fleet may not be used for religious organizations nor political purposes. Any request for wireless phones by a political candidate, city or county agency, or other government agency must be referred to AT&T's government relations staff, who will review the request. AT&T reserves the right to deny any request for loans for any reason.
In order to be considered for a loan, a qualifying organization must submit a letter to AT&T that provides the following information:
* Information about the organization, including documentation concerning non-profit status.
* Specific information about the event for which the phone(s) will be used.
* The number of wireless phones being requested and the dates the phones will be needed.
* A description concerning how the wireless phones will specifically be used.
* How the organization will promote AT&T and recognize their loan, such as hanging banners, logo in programs (camera-ready artwork available), etc.
