Is a certificate of live birth the same as a birth certificate? I thought THAT was the issue. Who knows?
My birth certificate, which is the typed original (complete with a typo!) says "certificate of live birth" and there's a VERY faint indentation of a seal in one corner. I can't feel or see it except when it's held at a certain angle, so obviously a "certificate of live birth" is the same as a "birth certificate."

The whole issue is pointless, only someone who didn't pay attention in 8th grade civics would bring it up. If your mother is an American citizen, you are an American citizen regardless of where you were born. Try to remember what your schools have taught you and not morons like The Trump, and Fox News. |
