94.01 SIGNS IN THE CITY
It shall be unlawful for any person to place a commercial sign within the city limits/corporate boundaries of the city. A commercial sign is defined as any device or surface on which letters, illustrations, designs, figures or any other symbols are painted, printed, stamped, raised or in any manner outlined or attached and used as a display for business purposes.94.02 EXEMPTIONS
(A) Real estate signs. Signs relating to the sale of real property within the city limits/corporate boundaries of the city, provided that said sign is placed only on the property to be sold.(B) Temporary signs. Signs which pertain to persons or firms supplying services, labor or materials to individual residents, provided that said signs are placed only on the property of the resident affected. Further, in no event shall sign remain more than TEN (10) days upon completion of the project and not to exceed a period of 90 days.
94.99 PENALTY
Violation of the provisions of this chapter shall constitute a misdeameaner. Any person who violates this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $25 nor more than $250.
