Objective

The objective of the Palmetto Beach Clean & Safe committee is to initiate projects that improve neighborhood appearance, promote neighborhood pride, and build a stronger sense of community.

Potential Projects

Neighborhood litter clean-ups, including DeSoto Park & McKay Bay shoreline.
Neighborhood-wide annual garage sale.
Sidewalk sweeping patrol, and broken glass removal.
Report litter, stray dogs and cats, streetlight problems, and graffiti.
Involve church groups and school for anti-litter education.
Educate property owners about City’s building and property maintenance codes.
Landscaping and maintenance of medians or park lands.
Signage program to strengthen our sense of identity, unity and pride.
