The other day my two little ones, our dogs, and I were walking down Lorimor, the western part, which is sort of on a big hill. A car came barreling down that hill and almost hit one of my kids, who had come out from behind a parked car. I screamed at the lady driver. She didn't even look back.

How come there are no speed bumps on that dangerous street?

Boy, I'm glad I don't live on that street. It's just a matter of when some kid will get hit.

 I just have three quick points.  I am not pointing fingers at anyone; I hope nothing comes across as confrontational.

1.  I ride a motorcycle.  Yes I do go though the middle of the speed bumps.  I split the bumps only for a smooth ride.  I normally ride at 15mph, occasionally up to 20mph.  I don't speed, especially in a neighborhood.  Not all motorcycle riders are irresponsible (unfortunately some riders are irresponsible).

2.  A few times I've seen people walking in the street who don't move for traffic.  This can lead to a dangerous situation.  All vehicles should travel at a safe speed to allow pedestrian and playing children to exit the street without a confliction.  Pedestrians should exit the street to allow traffic to pass.

3.  Even with this forum to bring up issues.  We can make sure action is taken if we attend the meetings.  I just moved to the area and plan to attend meetings in the future.
