Ah Yes. The lovely sound of an inconsiderate frustrated neighbor who thinks neighborliness is doing what he/she wants and to heck with the other neighbors. If they don't like it, they are selfish our stupid. Let's face it, if the majority of the neighborhood dislikes obnoxious sounds or activities, then the majority is simply wrong. Why, their activity resulted in only four calls to the police.
Being inconsiderate of the rest of the community is wonderful father/son activity. It teaches the son that if he is rude enough and inconsiderate enough he can have things that others can't. The budding young man learns that courtesy and respect for others is for sissies. If a real man wants something the best way to get it is to simply take it. Hey, it's a free society so to heck with anyone who disagrees. Yes sir, that will raise some really fine young men. We really do need more bullies in our society. They tend to put things into the proper perspective.
Oh yes, always teach your son to sign controversial statements anonymously. That way you can speak with bravado with no accountability.

I may not be the one who wrote the last note you are referring to but considering I am one of the houses involved with the RC cars I will repsond. First of all, I don't believe you live very close to us or maybe you would have come and talked to us already. I believe you live a few blocks away and cannot hear these cars. I do agree they are loud. But I also recall Jim making several requests to the neighbors through the emails to get out and meet your neighbors, talk to them about what's going on. I have yet to see that happen and I have lived here for 5 years. I know the house who started the first comments about the rc cars and not once did she say anything to us. We have had neighbors come out and ask us to stop for reasons of naps, parties whatever. We have no problem. We also never run our cars early in the morning our late at night. So when the police are called regarding this issue they basically laugh at it. They could be handling something that might actually need police attention but instead they have to come out here and let us know they will be driving theri rc cars with their boys as soon as they get home. As for Linda, the first person to make comments, her boys like to throw parties, and drink, be loud and throw trash in the streets or other neighbors lawns until all hours of the morning. Her next door neighbors boys do the same thing along with their friends speeding up and down our streets, peeling out, blaring their music, drinking and using foul language, dumping their garbage on the neighbors lawns. Oh and lets not forget their friends who were just caught by the cops for smoking pot right in front of their house, mid afternoon on a Sat. That's what I came home to after taking my son to a birthday party. And you are worried about an rc car.
In regards to what we are teaching our children, you have no right to make a comment. You don't know me or my family. But you could ask Jim Williams, he knows me. I am very involved in the schools here. My children are very involved in the school and lots of sports. My children are polite, respectful, well mannered kids. They are straight A students on the honor roll list. They have earned various awards for their behavoir and academics. So if the worst thing they have done is run an rc car once in a while with their dad, on a weekend afternoon, then so be it.
My name is Michelle Trueblood and I welcome you to come meet my family.
