Questions: What's in a name? Our given name reminds people who we are. Why is it important to name our southeast community neighborhoods today? 1. A neighborhood name denotes *owership, and *builds community pride. 2. * Clearly identifies and defines a neighborhood constituency 3. Validates neighborhoods *set boundries 4. A given name will Reinforce neighborhoods stakeholders claim on historical landmarks within set boundries and affords access to *geographical land marks, *public services, *city agencies, Public/Private Libraries, *hosipitals and *school sites. 5. neighborhood *Grants and other *montary eligibilities. NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS AND TO PROCLAIM NEIGHBORHOOD IDENTITY.
