Metro Denver Clubs & Organizations Families & Allies Working Together Newsletter 10-27-2008 Update on Personal Networks -- Making a Difference! With the help of the Atlantis Community, Families & Allies recently started a new Personal Network to help a woman get out of a local nursing home to live in her own apartment. She had been institutionalized for over 14 years and now has the freedom to make all her own decisions about her life. A young African American man with autism has taken all the preliminary steps to begin his own Personal Network next month. His goals are to become more socially involved in his community and research the possibility of going to art school.
