Bus Rider's Union of Kentuckiana - BRUKI

Increased bus ridership, employer-sponsored bus-riding programs, and a fund for building more bus shelters: these are just some of the immediate goals of the Bus Riders Union of Kentuckiana (BRUKI - rhymes with "ducky"). The grassroots, non-profit organization began operation Feb. 6. BRUKI wants to have a voice in the public-policy decisions which affect its members and all who ride the buses of TARC (the Transportation Authority of River City). That's according to Jackie Green, BRUKI founder and CART Executive Director. To join, mail your name, address, phone, email address and annual membership check ($5 minimum) to BRUKI, PO Box 4174, Louisville KY 40204. Or call 451-5732.
