Newsletter 8-27-2000 New EXPANDED Program For Outdoor Cats In an effort to reduce the birth of unwanted kittens for which there are not enough homes, SNAP is now replacing "The Barn (OUTDOORS) Mother Cat & Kittens Spay Neuter Program" with a new expanded program called THE EXPANDED (OUTDOORS) CATS & KITTENS SPAY NEUTER PROGRAM. This program has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the participating veterinarians. This program, available to the general public, was developed to provide affordable spay and neuter services for all outdoors adult cats, not just a mother cat and her three kittens. A female outdoor adult cat or kitten can be spayed for $10.00; a male outdoor adult cat or kitten can be neutered for $5.00. This program, with no limit to the number of cats, is intended only for outdoor cats who will be returned to an outdoors environment. Please contact SNAP at 563 264-2370 or snapinmuscatine@machlink.com to learn which veterinarians are participating in this program for outdoor cats and kittens. Participation is limited to areas where veterinarians were found who will to work with our needed prices of $10 and $5. Pet owners wishing to spay or neuter their INDOOR cats (or dogs) must be within certain income guidelines.
