Green Streets Median Test Site

We are pleased to announce that work on the median near Ascan Av, across from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs church, was completed in early August.
The QBRG worked with a landscaper to make what used to be an eyesore into something new and eye-cathing on Queens Blvd. We thank the church for giving us access to their water hose.
This site will be used during a presentation to
the city in hopes of making all of Queens Blvd
as green and clean as can be. Any aesthetic enhancement to this thoroughfare would be appreciated by residents, merchants, and even motorists. It is a fact that the greening of roadways actually has a calming affect on traffic. It couldn't hurt property values either. Contact our local leaders, Councilwoman Katz, Assemblyman Hevesi, Congressman Weiner, and Mayor Bloomberg, asking them to support making Queens Blvd a green Blvd.
