Message from Past Lady President, Linda Peterson

My year as LOE President is over and I want to thank all of your who participated in the LOE activities this past year. And, I especially want to thank the ladies who could always be counted on to help in someway, shape or form. Mary Hensel is aphenomenon onto herself. Decorating, planning selling tickets, running bingo-you name it she will help do it.Millie Brittingham and her Luau crew. Millie worked on the Luau for at least 7 months and it was a great success. Barbara Cargill’s cooking-Kay Woodling’s work-not to mention everyone who donated items and helped serve the dinner. Kay also sends cards to our “little men & women” at the Elks National Home. Betty Ellis who called people to bring dishes to different functions and who was always available to help. Juanita Cloutier who was always willing to help at functions and, who faithfully attended meetings. Ruth Clark who also will do anything you ask. Barbara Cargil who did a fabulous Christmas party for the kids. Ginny Wetzel for her guidance and devotion to the LOE. Rozan Kuenz for her great job as Chaplain. Carole Hulvey for her dedication and participation as Secretary and for all her help at bingo. June Schiavoni who helped when she could and is now starting to call bingo. And, finally Joy Wall. Joy was chosen as LOE of the Year.Joy wasn’t an officer~but that didn’tmatter to her. She stepped in to take pictures at the functions, she helped decorate, she was always willing to do whatever she was asked~whenever she was asked. And, she was always so wonderful when being asked. Thank you so much Joy! These hardworking people I mentioned were crucial to the success of the past year. I am very grateful for their help and guidance. And, I am also grateful for all the ladies & men who helped out this past year. Finally I feel that our work with the Lodge and House Committee was successful. I truly hope that more members participate next year to help make Carole’s year a big success. Thanks again!
