Say ''Yes'' on New Check-Off For Voter-Owned Elections

Keep a look out for a new check-off box when you file your N.C. income tax return this year.

Saying "Yes" on the check-off tells the State to send $3 to a new Public Campaign Financing Fund; it does not change your tax bill or refund.

The Fund supports the nation's first "voter-owned" public financing program for judicial candidates who accept strict spending limits.

The Fund also pays for a much-needed voter guide for candidates running for N.C. Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

Over 40 groups and thousands of citizens across N.C. were part of a large coalition that backed passage of this landmark legislation.

By saying "Yes," you will help promote fair elections and fair courts. Please support the check-off.

Thanks,
Adam Sotak, Organizer
