Portage Fishing Club outing
Willie Jordan, FWCFC President and teacher at Portage, will be organizing a fishing club at the school. The club will start meeting once a week after spring break.
Young anglers will be taught the basics of fishing including:
1. How to cast and bait their hooks. 2. Learn about,fix and care for fishing equipment. 3. How to tie basic knots. 4. Saftey tips. 5. How to clean and prepare fish for cooking. 6. Idenity different species of fish. How to take care of the environment.
The club is planning on several local fishing trips to test what they have learned. Portage club members automatically becomes FWCFC members.
