WELCOME Our mission statement states that ''programs will be offered for all ages and interests giving each individual the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. ENJOY THE NEW SURFACE AT LEARY PARK, WATERFORD BEACH PARK, AND QUAKER HILL SCHOOL. *The Recreation & Park Commission is reviewing the proposed Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Campus Renovation & Expansion project. The public is invited to contact us regarding this proposal.. *NEW WEB PAGE COMING SOON!!!! *CHILDRENS' PLAYGROUND UPDATE: The location has changed to the Civic Triangle Park. We hope to start construction in the Spring of 2010. Updates can be found here. Consider a donation!! *Open & lap swims available daily at the WHS pool. Swim into fitness; M-F AM LAP: 6:00-7:30am MON,FR LAP: 6:30-8pm MON,FR OPEN: 8:00-9pm TUES,TH LAP: 8:00-9pm TUES,TH OPEN: 8:00-9pm *The Gazebo @ Civic Triangle Park is closed for repairs, as well as the bridge at Jordan Mill Park. *Food donations for the Waterford Food Locker can be dropped off @ the Community Center. *School facilities can be rented such as; -Gyms -WHS Auditorium -WHS pool. Contact us for more information. NOTE: All program cancellations due to weather/facility difficulties will be announced on radio stations WNLC, WTYD, WICH, WKCD, WAVE, WSUB, and channel 3. (Updated 11/2/09) COMMUNITY CENTER *The Community Center will be closed on 11/11/09 in observance of Veteran's Day. *Located at 24 Rope Ferry Road. Free to Waterford residents/tax-payers. Call 444-5884. GET YOUR FREE COMMUNITY CENTER ID CARD AT OUR OFFICE, 8AM-5PM, or at Senior Services. *Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am - 8pm. Saturday 8am-12pm. Closed Sunday & major holidays, other than rentals. Rooms at the Center can be rented(showers, birthdays, etc.) Contact Kerry Sullivan at our office. Administrative office hours Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. (Hours subject to change) *THE FITNESS ROOM IS OPEN. IT OFFERS.... *Cardio-Vascular equipment, Universal machine/Free weights Misc. equip/ Locker rooms w/showers/ Cable tv. Personal trainers available by appointment.. PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY. Hours mirror those of the Center. Closed at times for programs. *MULTI-PURPOSE ACTIVITY ROOM: Play half-court basketball or volleyball. Also utilized for many programs. Available for other uses as well. *COMPUTER ROOM IS OPEN!! Surf the web, work on a project, complete homework. *DANCE/AEROBICS STUDIO: Utilized for programs. Can be used for drop-in activities. Can be rented. *ARTS & CRAFT ROOMS(2): Utilized for programs. Can be used for meetings and drop-in activities. Can be rented. *DINING ROOM/KITCHEN: Utilized daily for Senior Citizen activities. Can be rented. Ping Pong available. *CONFERENCE ROOMS(2): Utilized for programs. Can be rented. *BILLIARDS ROOM: Drop-in use. PLEASE NOTE, CHECK-IN WITH CC STAFF FOR DROP-IN ACTIVITIES. *RENTAL RATES: -Multi-purpose/activity:$50/hr -Dining Room: $100 -Dance/Aerobics, Arts & Crafts, Conference: $31/1st hour, $19/each additional hr PLEASE NOTE... An additional custodian/monitor fee of $15 per hour will be charged when rentals occur outside normal operating hours. |
