Local Volunteer Needs

Fundraising / Special Events Volunteers
General Duties:
Assist with planning or implementation of annual Heroes Campaign fundraiser, special events, or other fundraisers.
Preferred Skills:
Development or event planning experience a plus, enjoy working with people, dedication to completion of tasks
Time Commitment:
Varies, though typically best if available for 3+ hours for an initiative.
Time Needed:
Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Weekend

Safety Fair Volunteers
General Duties:
Represent the ARC at community fairs by staffing booths, assisting with booth activities, and answering questions.
Preferred Skills:
Outgoing personality, ease in public speaking, knowledgeable about the programs and services of the American Red Cross.
Time Commitment:
2 hours, as needed
Time Needed:
Weekend, Weekday

Office Volunteers
General Duties:
Answer phones and provide information to customers.
Assist with large mailings, filing, data management, or other office projects.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with most office machines, pleasant and personable phone manner, some computer literacy, ability to work without close supervision
Time Commitment:
25 hours annually
Time Needed:
Morning and/or Afternoon during regular office hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM-4:45 PM
