Well Baby Clinic
The Well Baby Clinic is open Thursday mornings 9 – 11 AM except for holidays. It is located at 802 South Mill Street in Crawfordsville. Services are available without cost to everyone in need. In the year 2004, the Well Baby Clinic saw 992 children, providing immunizations to 708 of them. Care is provided by a nurse manager, however there is usually a doctor on duty. CNS provides care to sick children, follow up on newborns that have no regular doctor, childhood immunizations, and newborn home visits upon referral of doctor or hospital. St Clare’s Neighborhood Clinic sees sick patients, as well as Medicaid patients, which enables CNS to focus on wellness issues and preventive care. Vision and dental referrals are provided for low income and indigent families. CNS assists with physical exams for daycare or school; however, we do not provide sports physicals. Assistance with some medical bills, prescriptions, family referrals for food/housing, diapers and formula when available, assistance with parenting skills, referrals to WIC and other agencies as necessary are also provided. New and used clothing is also available through our clothing pantry.
Adult Health Clinic
The Adult Health Clinic is open Wednesday mornings 9 – 11 AM except for holidays. It is located at 802 South Mill Street in Crawfordsville. Services are available without cost to everyone in need. In the year 2004, the Adult Clinic provided care for 853 patients, doctor or dental referrals to 120 patients and helped pay prescriptions for 700 patients. Care is provided by a nurse manager. The Adult Health Clinic provides medical help with basic health concerns for adults of all ages including blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, dressing changes, immunizations, examinations, education, and referrals; and financial help for low income individuals who do not qualify for government assistance with their medical bills. CNS also provides care of sick adults with referral on to a doctor as necessary, some emergent dental referrals (not for routine dental care), vision referrals, and referrals to other agencies as indicated, loans of medical equipment and incontinent diapers for adults when available, and education on medical problems when needed.
