Great New Books Join Library Stacks!
Each year The Gardeners' Guild of Braintree purchases new books for the school media centers.

Lucille Barton chose the books again this year. Lucille is a charter member of The Gardeners' Guild of Braintree, its first president and long time Braintree elementary school teacher. President Christine Chilstedt presented the books to Dr. Peter Kurzberg on behalf of the guild. She chose the Ross School for this year's presentation.

Each elementary school received "Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert, "Rock, Fossils and Arrowheads" by Laura Evert, "Energy Makes Things Happen" by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, "Earthquakes" by Franklin Branly and "The Important Book" by Margaret Wise Brown.

Into the Middle School Media Center
Each of the middle schools received "One Well: The Story of Water on Earth" by Rachael Strauss, "Rock and Mineral" by Google and "Global Warming Alert" by Dr Richard Chiel.

New to the BHS Media Center
"An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore and "Climate" by George Ochoa, Jennifer Hoffman, Ph.D., and Tina Fen.
