Recycled Pace Makers for dogs

11-18-2004
Hi all,
A friend of mine recently lost her mother. I didn't know this before but human pace makers can be removed upon death and sent to vet schools (Purdue specifically in this case) to be used in canines. Apparently they cannot be reused in humans so this may be a life saving option for some dogs.
Just wanted to pass it along.
