Preliminary and partial measurements from ESSI team:
NE sample: sand layer, 3.5 cm thick; silt layer 6.5 cm thick---still waiting for clay layer--anticipate results in next 24 + hours.

SW sample: sand layer, 5 cm thick, silt layer 5 cm thick---still waiting for clay layer---anticipate results in next 24+ hours.

Note to Esperanza & LA Corps teams: clay layer is done and can be measured when the water is clear.

Remember, clay is the smallest, finest soil particle size. So it can remain suspended in water for a long time. That's why you need to wait 24-48 hours (or more pragmatically, when the water is clear and no clay particles are suspended in the water) to measure the clay layer.
