Ted Pinkowitz, President and CEO
Ted Pinkowitz, a veteran entrepreneur, co-founded E.Central, (the parent company of Neighborhood Link) one of Colorado's first Internet companies, with Don Bachner in 1995. Today, E.Central is the third largest locally owned Internet service provider in the state, with three distinct Internet business units - Internet Media, Web Services and Internet Access.

Pinkowitz's vision and leadership has grown E.Central from a three-employee, Denver-based ISP into a nationally deployed Internet media company with a staff of 21. In 1997, he conceived of the idea for Neighborhood Link after offering his company's services as a forum for a controversial zoning dispute. His talent for creating strategic alliances and unifying disparate interests into a single vision was demonstrated in Neighborhood Link's national launch hosted and endorsed by Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, members of city council, Police Chief Thomas Sanchez, and other Denver dignitaries.

Prior to founding E.Central and Neighborhood Link, Pinkowitz founded and served as editor and publisher of ICON, a monthly arts and popular culture newspaper. Under his leadership, ICON grew from an eight page monthly guide to the arts, with circulation of less than 10,000, into a 32-page alternative arts and popular culture newspaper, with a distribution of 50,000 throughout Denver and Boulder, Colorado. He has also served as editor of Colorado's state arts newspaper, Colorado Arts, where he managed the editorial staff, design, marketing and distribution.

Pinkowitz has been involved in all aspects of publishing since 1981. He has a well-earned reputation for creating innovative content, original design, and outstanding customer service. Under Pinkowitz's guidance, E.Central created its own niche in the Colorado market by being the first to offer inexpensive, limited Internet access; and in 1996, its "Big City-Small Planet" Web site was one of the first "local content" city guides in the country.

Pinkowitz holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

Don Bachner, Vice President and COO
Don Bachner co-founded E.Central with Ted Pinkowitz in January 1995 and has been the guiding force behind the financial and technological aspects of E.Central. While overseeing the day-to-day operation of E.Central, Bachner also continues to help develop many of the concepts, services and design aspects of Neighborhood Link.

Bachner originally developed many of the systems required to operate the ISP portion of the business. These included the network architecture and the billing system, which Bachner personally developed and coded.

Prior to co-founding E.Central, Bachner spent 20 years as a pilot with Federal Express, where his involvement in numerous computer and flight management projects provided him with a broad background in computer programming, databases and network management.

During his tenure with Federal Express, Bachner wrote and developed a remote access client that allowed pilots to interface with the company's IBM 3270 computers while on the road or from home. In 1989 when Federal Express purchased Flying Tigers, Bachner developed numerous database models, which played an integral role in helping the two companies merge their pilot seniority lists. Bachner also received numerous service awards and certificates of honor during his tenure at Federal Express.

Bachner holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science from the Ohio State University.
