WHAT:
More than 200 neighborhood association leaders and community activists will join local elected officials for the 10th Annual Regional Neighborhood Conference and Awards Ceremony. The following awards will be presented: Mayor's Award, the Newsletter Award, and the Community Involvement in Neighborhood Beautification Award. Fannie Mae will present a $1,000 Technology Grant that will be introduced by the Neighborhood Resource Center and Neighborhood Link. There will also be a brief demonstration of the Neighborhood Link web site, an Internet-based community network that offers every neighborhood a free, interactive web site where ideas and information can be shared with neighbors, city officials, local police and schools.
