NEIGHBORHOOD LINK BEGINS PLANS FOR A MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD WEB SITE

Leading Civic Resource Continues Growth and Innovation

DENVER, CO - March 15, 2005 - Neighborhood Link is developing plans for a comprehensive redevelopment of the Neighborhood LinkWeb site. The redevelopment will feature new tools, expanded customization, and design flexibility.

Neighborhood Link emailed a survey to over 3,000 Neighborhood Link Web site coordinators in order to better understand how and why the sites were being used. The survey also asked for ideas regarding tools that the coordinators would like to see added to the site. The response to the survey was extraordinary in terms of numbers of respondents and ideas generated.

The Neighborhood Link staff is now detailing plans for redevelopment. The new Web site will incorporate the latest in Web technology to facilitate better communication and expand use. The first feature to be deployed will enable PDF files to be posted to the neighborhood Web sites. This feature has been highly requested and its planned deployment will be June 2005.

Programming for the remainder of the Neighborhood Link site will begin in early 2006. Decisions regarding timeframe and the deployment priority for new features have not been finalized.
