Neighbors
What kind of neighbor do you want? The kind that stick messages on your door with no name? The kind that call the cops on you for barking dogs without giving you the knowledge that thier dogs are buggig you? Neighbors who are too low to knock on a door and introduce themselves to other neighbors and give each other a chance to live in a great neighborhood kill the chance of ever getting along with others. It is a sad day when my neighbors knock on my door and have to ask ''was it you''? What kind of Community do we live in? I guess to my dismay it is one of hiding behind closed doors and pretending it wasn't you who called the cops and/or left the message pinned to a car without a name......

Neighbors

I absolutely agree! I have neighbors who think it's easier and more conducive to a ''neighborhood'' feel to call cops and waste their time than actually meeting me and building a rapport so that they can approach me about these minor issues. Do theses neighbors really think cops care about the occasionally barking dog? Would they honestly rather have the cops dealing with that rather than responding to true emergencies. The fact is, these people have been catered to enough. What they fail to realize is that all the people in this world have have a lick of common sense know that these ridiculous neighbors are crying wolf and need to find something more productive to do with their time. What a bunch of gutless people. I came from a small town where everyone knew everyone, there were no HOAs, and it felt like a big family rather than the defensive and offensive teams. It's sad that our little Utopian villages (housing developments) have all the outer beauty, but no charm whatsoever.

I Agree

Dear Danean,

Someone called the police because my dog was barking (isn't that what dogs do) Now we are paranoid and our dog is hardly ever outside. I guess my neighbors are reporting us for parking on the street too. I think it encourages a hostile living environment and not neighborliness. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Parking and neighbors.

Your neighbors don't have to report you parking on the street. The HOA spends $1,200 a month to have 2 folks from some security company go around every day or night and record every car parked on the street. That 14,400 dollars a year. I can think of better uses of my HOA dues than to just tick off the residents.
