Block Party 2009 Scenes
Biggest Turnout to Date!!!
The Spring 2009 Block party was the biggest turnout to date! Attendance was counted over 130. From "older" neighbors to newies and two legged to four Cathcart Ave. was full. LEHHNA provided bar-b-q frm Bubbalous, Dave and Artie from the Handy Pantry provided sodas and ice and neighbors generously provided side dishes and desserts. What an assortment to be had!
This year's event was more casual in the past allowing for attendees to relax, talk, get caught-up, meet new neighbors, eat and listen to music.
As customary the jumper provided endless hours of fun the the younger neighbors. Neighbor Meg Prewitt also kept the younger ones busy with the paint station and sidewalk chalk drawing. The masterpieces were displayed along the picket fence for all to enjoy.
Music was provided by neighbors Paul Roberts and Ed White.
Our block party once again pulled off a great event that could noty have had a prettier day for all to enoy. A 'big thanks' goes out to Mimi Roberts, Martha Morris, Meg Prewitt and Raymond Cox as well as those who helped set-up and take-down! It wouldn't be possible or as enjoyable without everyones participation!
If you have any comments or suggestions for future block parties please post them on the discussion page of this web site.
