2007 Annual Orchid Show & Sale

Great Turnout for Friday Opening!
Hello Members and Volunteers,

We had a great opening day!

Friday evening our exhibits and individual entries were judged by the American Orchid Society and assisted by an enthusiastic team of clerks comprised of TBOS members. There were so many ribbons and trophies awarded. The Krull-Smith exhibit was awarded the AOS Show Trophy. Ridge Orchid Society took First Place in the visiting society category with Sarasota Orchid Society coming in second.

There continues to be a wide selection of plants for sale from our vendors with fresh stock arriving each day. The visual impact of 10,000 square feet of live beautiful orchids is overwhelming. The sweet fragrance of orchids when you enter the showroom will not be forgotten.

Remember our TBOS Volunteers don't have to worry about packing a lunch. Our Hospitality Committee has done a wonderful job feeding all of the volunteers and the vendors and will continue to do this through the close of the show. Some were joking that our now motto should be "Come for the flowers, stay for the food!"
