Meeting 3rd Thursday Tampa Bay Orchid Society meets the third Thursday of each month. PLEASE NOTE: Our TEMPORARY MEETING PLACE (while renovations take place at our regular meeting space) is- Seminole Heights United Methodist Church Central Ave at Hanna. It is just north on Central of where we met before. When renovations have been completed we expect to return to our normal meeting place at the- Seminole Garden Center. 5800 Central Ave. Tampa,FL. Doors open at 7 p.m. and membership meetings begin at 7:30. Along with a brief orchid education forum, we introduce a noted guest speaker with a presentation from the world of orchids. Check our CALENDAR PAGE for NEXT MEETING activities and Guest Speaker. BLOOMS and More Our members bring in ''bloomers'' to share their beauty and growing tips with each other. A Members Choice ribbon is awarded to the most beautifully grown plant and a Novice award is given for new growers that choose to exhibit their orchids for the first time. Don't be overwhelmed if you are visiting for the first time. There is much to learn about orchids. If you leave our meeting with even one new fact or growing tip you will soon yearn for more. Before you know it...you will be addicted in a good way! Refreshments Bring in your favorite snack to share during break time and socialize with other orchid addicts. Come for the FLOWERS stay for the FOOD! |
