About Our Guild Paradise Quilters Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1994 to promote the art of quilt making and to share the quilting experience. We are both an educational and a charitable organization. The funds raised through the guild's biennial show help to bring in teachers to expand our knowledge. They are also used to purchase supplies for quilts which we make for local charities to raffle as fundraisers. In addition, members are encouraged to make quilts to donate to needy babies through local hospitals and to local shelter programs. Present membership is approximately 75 members with a wide range of ages and quilting experience. Meetings Our guild meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Dallas MacDonald Senior Center on Big Pine Key located behind the new fire station. We have monthly workshops the third Saturday of the month (usually the Saturday after our meetings) at the Senior Center as well. In addition we sponsor open quilting sessions from October through May on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Senior Center.
