History & Goals of LSBA
The Long Street Business Association, Inc. (LSBA) was established and incorporated on February 8, 1988. Its purpose is to improve the quality of all business and residential life in The Historic Long Street District. Consequently, LSBA’s goals include:

* Promoting urban and economic development through education, training and exposure to positive cultural experiences

* Encouraging congenial fellowship among business owners and community residents through cultural and social awareness

* Improving the advancement of business and civic interest in The Historic Long Street District through education and training

* Planning future growth and development of The Historic Long Street District



Mission & Philosophy
Our mission is to assist in creating a “model “ community. The Long Street Business Association acts as a lobbyist and advocate to keep members informed on programs that improve the quality of life for Historic Long Street District residents and businesses.

The Long Street Business Association believes in:

* Creating a positive climate for area businesses and residents

* A safe place to live and do business

* The preservation of the Historic Long Street History

* Educating and mentoring to cultivate community and business
