Mission Statement: The Emergency Rescue Service (ERS) is a volunteer Search and Rescue team based out of Monrovia, CA. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives at NO DIRECT COST to the victim or the taxpayer. Team members are highly skilled volunteers who maintain a rigorous training program and have outfitted themselves with specialized rescue equipment at their own expense. They are ready to respond at anytime, anywhere. It is the goal of the ERS to obtain the skills necessary to perform all rescue operations in an efficient and safe professional manner. Who Are We? The Emergency Rescue Service team is comprised of the top people from many fields of emergency rescue. Team members include pilots, communication experts, rescue SCUBA divers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, EMT's, MICN's, RN's, and others trained in advanced life support techniques. The Emergency Rescue Service team is one of the most advanced medical Search and Rescue groups in the Southern California area. Training ERS team members are trained in search and rescue operations, mountaineering, climbing, rapelling, helitac, map and compass reading, victim extrication techniques, disaster evaluation, and all-weather survival methods. Our team members are skilled in rescue techniques on land or sea under adverse conditions. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! We are looking for a few dedicated volunteers with medical, off-road, and/or mountaineering experience who can devote long hours of rewarding participation.
