Our Heritage Our club was chartered in 1947 and has had a rich tradition of supporting sight and sound projects and in particular, supporting the Wilmer Eye Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital. We are a unit of the International Lions Club and we are in District 22a, with other Lions Clubs in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our Activities We raise funds to support our projects through monthly fruit sales (Nov thru April), a Car Raffle (2002 Jeep Liberty SUV), candy sales and other community activities where we get out and involved with our neighbors. Our Members We are an organization, composed of both men and women, who meet twice monthly (with a dinner at the Pampered Palate) and plan our activities for the coming months. We are 45 strong and we would like to have new members join so we can do even more to raise funds for our projects. |
