What is Diffence Makers
Difference Makers is a youth led faith based organization that focuses on building youth leadership. The organization was founded on the principle that the youth of today are the future leaders of tomorrow. All projects and programs are developed and initiated by youth. The group consists of youth from the ages of 11 to 17 years old. Adults participate by serving the youth as advisors and assist with fundraising and technical needs.

Our Mission:
Difference Makers' mission is to inspire and train potential young leaders, to enable them to take an active role in their community and become future leaders of tomorrow. Difference Makers teaches and equips youth with the methods of strategic planning, organizational development, and effective service-learning project planning and implementation skills. This will result in strong leaders who have hope for the future and the tools to positively influence society and their communities.

Our Goals
Difference Makers will:

(1) host or participate in at least one community service learning project/workshop each quarter

(2) attend City Council meetings to learn more about the local government

(3) act as peer mentors to other youth

(4) be a community communication hub:

(a) that will share and publicize community information and events sponsored by churches and other organizations located in Montgomery and neighboring counties to help ensure that church and community workshops and events are well attended.

(b) sponsor a calendar of events on their website to help church and community groups publicize their community projects. The hub calendar will facilitate scheduling of events and help to avoid conflicting events.

(c) utilize its resources to distribute information via online and door-to-door community canvassing.
