Could not send ad request Crawfordsville Clubs & Organizations Christian Nursing Service Other Services Telecheck Telecheck is a service that provides a daily telephone call to any individual in the local calling area. The caller checks to make sure the individual is ok, and summons help if needed. The calls are made 6 days a week. Last year (2004), the Telecheck service made 4,282 calls to shut-ins. Any one who wants to sign up should call Mollie Cooper at 362-4959. Clothing Closet and Coats for Kids The clothing closet has clothes for children from infants to size 14. The clothing is free to any one who needs it. Last year (2004), the Clothing Closet provided 4,201 items of clothing, 112 pairs of shoes, 17 pairs of boots and 143 coats. The clothing closet is operated out of the Well Baby Clinic, located at 802 South Mill Street in Crawfordsville. If you have donations, or would like to pick up some clothes, please come on Wednesday or Thursday mornings 9 –11 AM. Coats for Kids is a winter program where wearable coats are donated, cleaned and distributed to kids in need. Boulevard Cleaners helps in collecting and cleaning the coats. The coats are made available as part of the Clothing Closet for any child who needs them. (For information on adult clothing, please click on the FISH link provided below.) Angels In Tow Angels in Tow is a program that furnishes infant car seats to families in need. Car seats are required for all infants leaving St. Clare Hospital. The maternity department of St. Clare’s administers this program.
