Neighborhood Is a Tranquil Island
The Sea Isle Park Neighborhood is a community of approximately 3000 homes nestled into the curve of I-240, south of the Southern Railroad and east of Mt. Moriah Road in East Memphis. The neighborhood is a place of rolling hills, mature trees and comfortable homes where many families have lived through three generations.

Most of the community's homes are single family, of brick construction and surrounded by large, well-kept yards; however, several infill developments offer a variety of housing choices. The value of homes ranges from $60,000 starter homes to $300,000 to $400,000 estates. In addition to the single family homes, there are one luxury high rise apartment on Park Avenue and several smaller apartment and condominium properties. There is ample opportunity for residents to stay in the neighborhood--downsize, "move up not out" or "improve, don't move".

Many Sea Isle residents are older people who moved into the area in the 1950s and 1960s. There is, however, a growing population of young families attracted to the neighborhood by its well built homes, public and private elementary schools, numerous churches, neighborhood park and convenient, central location.

At the heart of the community, geographically and socially, is the Sea Isle School/Park property where neighbors often meet and greet at the school, around the one mile walking trail, on the soccer fields, baseball diamond or playground. The McWherter Senior Citizen, named after former governor Ned McWherter's mother, is also located here. The school, park and senior center are all unifying forces as well as valuable amenities that attract new residents to the community.

Convenient shopping is located within the neighborhood boundaries--almost within walking distance of all residents. Eastgate Shopping Center, at Park Avenue and White Station Road, houses a Stein Mart, Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Maxx,Ikes and a variety of restaurants and small shops. Home Depot and Seesel's/Albertsons are located on Truse Parkway behind Eastgate. Several smaller commercial centers at Quince and White Station, Yorkshire and Quince, and south of Park Avenue across from Eastgate offer shopping convenience. There are also several small office complexes including the Estate Office Park just south of the railroad.

In addition to internal recreation and shopping, Sea Isle is within ten minutes of Theatre Memphis, Audubon Park, Memphis Botanic Garden, Dixon Gallery and Garden, Lichterman Nature Center, Hickory Ridge Mall, Mall of Memphis and Oak Court Mall. St. Francis Hospital is in plain view across the expressway.

Location! Location! Location! Sea Isle Park Neighborhood is a tranquil residential island in the midst of a busy world.
