HOUSING AND CODE ENFORCEMENT

THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & CODE ENFORCEMENT COVER THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS

1. ENVIRONMENTAL:
*Junk, trash & debris in yards.
*Junk vehicles in yards and streets.
*High Grass & weeds in yards.
*Illegal storage & dumping.
2. STRUCTURAL
3. HOUSES & ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
4. PLUMBING
5. ELECTRICAL
6. MECHANICAL SAFETY

Concerned citizens may telephone the Mayor's Citzen's Service Center @ 576-6500 or Public Services & Neighborhoods, Department of Housing and Code Enforcement at 576-7380 to file a complaint regarding unsafe housing conditions of inoperable vehicles.
COMMON COMPLAINTS:
Some complaints often reported include:
* Parking of cars on front lawn
* Storing appliances or junk on property
* Parking 18 wheeler cabs in residential neighborhood
* Untrimmed grass and shrubbery
