Shawnee Neighborhood Association Committees Need You!!!

Nominating Committee

This committee is a standing committee required by the bylaws. It consists of five members, and up to two of those members may be Board Members.

The purpose of the committee is to prepare a board slate for elections at the annual elections at the end of July. They contact individuals or accept applications by interested persons, study their qualifications and prepare a slate for the general membership to vote on.

This committee is in need of three more members. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please contact Rudy Davidson at 778-3050.

Finance Committee

This committee is another standing committee required by the bylaws. At this time, there is no minimum number of members.

The purpose of this committee would be to review the funds collected by the Association and make reccomendations to the Board of Directors as to how the money should be allocated, for example, for special projects, cleanups, mailings, etc.

Anyone interested in serving on this committee should have some background or interest in finance or experience in non-profits. Please contact Rudy Davidson at 778-3050 for more information.

What Are Your Interests or Concerns?

If you have interests or concerns related to the Shawnee area, perhaps your talent and time could be put to use on new committees. The Board will establish committees from time to time that will serve specific purposes and encourage residents to join in the decision making process.
