UPCOMING PUBLIC INPUT OPPORTUNITY Wednesday, 4/9/08, 6 PM

UPCOMING PUBLIC INPUT OPPORTUNITY Public meeting for Northeast Corridor of Louisville Loop Wednesday, April 9, 2008, 6 p.m. Berrytown YMCA 1300 Heafer Road, 40223 The second in a series of public planning meetings for the Louisville Loop’s route in the northeast corridor – between Shelbyville Road and River Road – takes place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Berrytown YMCA, 1300 Heafer Road. At this meeting, participants will hear an overview of the project and view a preliminary proposal for a route through the northeastern corridor, which was developed partly based on public feedback solicited at a meeting in December. After the presentation, citizens will have the opportunity to offer feedback on the proposed route. At least one additional public meeting will take place as the proposed route is refined. Planning should be complete by July 2008. A project web site – www.louisvilleky.gov/MetroParks/cityofparks/projects/northeastloop.htm –allows citizens to: ·sign up to receive meeting notices and project updates via e-mail. ·send feedback to the planning team. ·review and respond to documents and presentations as the planning process moves forward (in case they can’t attend meetings in person). Unless you received this message directly from Metro Parks, you must sign up for the e-mail list at the web site listed above to ensure you’ll receive meeting notices and project updates! In case you are hearing this for the first time, from a maps view, the property to the West and South of our neighborhood including Floyds Fork Creek and the former Sod farm on both sides of I-64 has been acquired as part of the Mayor's Metro Loop Trail project linking multiple city parks together via walking and bike trails. The large Sod farm area is planed for the development of a new city public park. To get more information on this effort, please see the link below called 'Metro Loop Trail'.
