Did Lincoln Visit Buechel ?

We know that Abraham Lincoln visited

Louisville and Bardstown and likely traveled the Bardstown Pike. He also stayed for time with the Speed family at Farmington Plantation in 1841.

So, we think it's a good guess that Lincoln passed through our area. Buechel was farmland in those days. Our community and it's name first appeared about thirty years later.
