Glenmorrie Neighborhood Meeting

I. Call To Order –
a. II. 2535 Glenmorrie Dr. - Mari Brooker Property Variance
a. Remove existing garage structure which currently sits in city right of way
b. Add kitchen and bathroom to existing house
c. Remove three (3) trees.
d. Plant three (3) replacement trees
e. Construction would intrude on conservation area

V. Ivy Pull
a. 04/24/04 – Glenmorrie Greenway – 9:00AM – 12:00 PM

VI. Proposed Minor Partition – 2778 Glenmorrie Dr.
a. Presenters – Wade Ballenger of All County Surveyors and Tony Mele (owner of property and Dolan Creek Homes of Boring OR.)
b. Proposed creation of three (3) lots. Sizes – two (2) at approximately 20,000 sq ft and one (1) at approximately 40,000 sq ft.
c. Sewer to utilize existing line at East side of property
d. No grading will occur on the site.
e. Water run off to drain into soakage trenches on property
f. No tree removal to occur – pruning only
g. House sizes from 5,000 sq ft to 8,000 sq ft
h. Property line set back discussed
i. Delineation line for conservation area in pending status. This line could increase of decrease size of largest parcel.
j. Developer stated that the three lot partition would remain at three lots. GNA expressed concern over the creation of an additional partition of the larger lot once the initial partition was complete. Developer stated any additional partitions would be dependant on who purchases the 40,000 sq ft. lot. The GNA is concerned that this partitioning may in fact create four (4) separate lots and undermine any subdivision planning or master site plan.
k. Footprint and height limitations discussed – actual specifications not known
l. Developer said they had contacted the GNA water coop however nothing more had materialized
m. Construction would probably not begin for another 6-8 months
n. Residents residing along Poplar Way expressed concerns regarding “tidiness” of road during construction. Developer stated road would be kept in good repair and would eventually be paved.
o. The brush at the end of Poplar Way would be thinned.
p. Developer stated that for the most part the land would remain as unchanged as possible
q. Approximately 30 feet of hedge will have to be removed at the beginning of Poplar Way due to sight requirements.

VII. Tree Cutting Permit – 3176 Stonebridge Way
a. Cottonwood tree
1. Lifting driveway
2. Large, destructive, overbearing tree which clouds the neighborhood with “cotton” every Spring and leaves every Fall
3. Adjacent neighbor also wants tree removed.
4. Will replant with native variety tree

VIII. Hwy 43 Development
a. Traffic Division Letter – crosswalk placement in review
b. Turn lanes and other construction slated to begin Sept-Oct 2004

IX. Traffic Division Request
a. The GNA would like an incident report for the past 2-3 years for the stretch of Hwy 43 affected by the Glenmorrie neighborhood
b. Need bike lane positioning signs
c. Cherry Lane pedestrian traffic issues
d. Need to complete a request to study traffic patterns at Cherry Lane and Hwy 43
e. Pavement markings need to be repainted at “The Spur”
f. Safety issues regarding “The Spur”
1. Traffic exits Hwy43 at excessive speeds
2. Location of school bus stop
3. GNA to get LO fire department involved for recommendations
g. The vegetation in the median at the intersection of Hwy 43 and McKvey needs to be kept short so that motorists can have adequate visibility.
h. The Yield law needs to be evaluated at Hwy 43 and McKvey

X. Damage to Stonebridge Entrance Sign
a. LO police incident number 04-0590
b. Who owns the structure
c. Is the insurance agency aware of the damage
d. GNA to follow-up on clean up and replacement

XI. Glenmorre Park –Approved
a. Access from Hwy 43 will be provided
b. Play structure
c. Age range will be targeted to 6-12 years old
d. It will not be a destination park – no traffic or parking
e. No bathrooms
f. A fence will be added for neighbor protection
g. Slated to begin sometime this summer – 2004

XII. Neighborhood Mailing List.
a. New houses built in neighborhood need to be added to the master

XIII. Glenmorrie At The Green Neighborhood
a. Reviewed possibilities of adding to GNA (they may already be included)
b. Current neighborhood type not consistent with majority of Glenmorrie
c. Neighborhood Plan needsto be amended
d. Glenmorrie At The Green currently has a homeowners association

XIV. Neighborhood Coalition
a. Neighborhood insurance coverage
b. Covers street parties and association funds
c. Please call to cover

XV. Christy School Group Home on Stonebridge
a. No know student attacks at the residence
b. April 6, 2004 – next meeting date for residence and Stonebridge
c. Christopher Stickles (SP) – representative for group home
d. Master plan of Christy School up for review in the near future – Lynn Saxton to lead review
e. Safety of students waiting for buses and walking on Glenmorrie discussed
f. None of the students drive and are between the ages of 8-18
