July 21, 2005, Mr. Len Nguyen, Field Deputy of Bill Rosendahl, came to Wilshire Blvd to hear our comments on the failed Wilshire bus lane project, enacted by Miscikowsky's office a year ago. Merchants, travelers, community people feel that the bus lane does not help in any way; traffic, businesses, walking people... businesses call it quits, traffic is jammed more since there are now 2 lanes available at the Wilshire-Federal intersection (1 lane is dedicated bus lane during rush hour). The bus lane needs to go! Wilshire in West LA is not a corridor from Santa Monica to the 405. West LA is a community, we want people to feel home in our neighborhood, walk more, enjoy life locally. We want the parking back, more trees planted, beautify the neighborhood.
