New Chairwoman: WENDY-SUE ROSEN

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Brentwood Community Council Email Subscribers:

I am pleased to announce that Wendy-Sue Rosen has been elected the new Chairwoman of the Brentwood Community Council.

Wendy has lived in Brentwood since 1994. She has been President of the Upper Mandeville Canyon Property Owners' Association (UMCA) (www.uppermandeville.org) for the past five years. In that capacity, she has addressed a wide variety of community issues including water quality protection, building code enforcement, mansionization, stream protection, traffic safety, emergency-responder communications, wildfire safety, wildlife protection, Open Space preservation in the Santa Monica Mountains, and public access to Santa Monica Mountains' trails. Wendy currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Nature of Wildworks (natureofwildworks.org) and Canyon Back Alliance (www.canyonback.org). She is also a member of the Ballona Creek Watershed Task Force and the City of Los Angeles' Floodplain Management Task Force. This year Wendy is serving on the Dinner Committee for the Center of Law in the Public Interest (www.clipi.org), in celebration of its 35th Anniversary.

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as the Chairwoman of the BCC for the past seven years. With my new job demands, it is time to pass the torch, and Wendy-Sue Rosen will do an outstanding job. I will continue to serve on the BCC as a Representative, and will work closely with Wendy during this time of leadership transition.
