Conflict Resolution Program
Project: PeaceMakers, Inc. is a non-profit public benefit organization founded to address the issue of Domestic and Family Violence. Violence permeates our informational airways, recreational activities and cultural artistry. Violence is a growing problem that intrudes on our individual freedom, family dynamics and the Community at large. In an effort to eradicate domestic violence,educating the youth has become a priority of the Conflict Resolution Program.Conflict Resolution Program is designed to focus on the middle school and high school students. It teaches the students with the use of informational sheets, study grounds, games, projects and activities that involve their families and communities. The three areas of focus are:
Dispute Resolution
1. is designed to re-educate the student to idenity the difference and diversities of individuals and cultures, as well as the similarities.
2. recognize and learn to respect and appreciate these differences in classmates and their cultures.
3. develope zero tolerance to violence.
Anger Management
1. to teach the students to use empathy in developing better listening skills.
2. empower the students to understand the role of anger and their responsibility in determining the outcome.
3. recognize the power of communication without confusion.
Mediation
1. explore the basics of conflict resolution.
2.build confidence in the students to enable him/her to explain the problem.
3. practicing skills in negotiating solutions to conflict.
4. to promote Peer Mediation.
Building a stronger child while promoting a safer, more pleasant school campus throughout the Los Angeles area is our goal.

Wednesdays...Domestic Violence @ PPM Mary Howard, from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Thursdays...Anger Management @ PPM Janisa Spears, 9:30am to 11:30am.
Thursdays...Domestic Violence @ PPM Carole McCrory, from 6pm to 8pm.
Thursdays...Anger Management @ PPM Janisa Spears, from 6pm to 8pm.
Saturday...Spanish Support Group @ Bradley Milken.
